PRIVACY NOTICE
Effective date: August 30, 2026
Last updated: August 30, 2026
Wild TV Inc. ("Wild TV," "we," "us," or "our") operates the streaming service
known as Wild TV Plus, including www.wildtvplus.com (and its subdomains) and our
mobile and connected-TV applications (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy
Notice explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it,
how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
This Privacy Notice forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of
Use (https://www.wildtvplus.com/en/legal/terms-of-service/). By using the
Service, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. QUICK SUMMARY
- We collect information you give us (such as your name and email when you
register), information about how you use the Service, and — when you arrive
through one of our own promotional links — first-party marketing-attribution
information.
e use a first-party "campaign click identifier" to understand which of our
own campaigns and links led you to register, enter a giveaway, or subscribe.
It is not an advertising cookie and is not used to track you across other
companies' websites.
- We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do NOT share it for
cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We keep raw marketing-attribution data for up to 24 months and then delete
or aggregate it, and you can object to this use at any time.
- We host and process your information in Canada.
- Depending on where you live, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and
object to certain uses of your information (see "Your Privacy Rights").
Contact for privacy questions or to exercise your rights: wildtvplus@wildtv.ca.
2. WHO THIS NOTICE APPLIES TO / CHILDREN
The Service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older and is not directed
to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under
13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has
provided us personal information, contact us at wildtvplus@wildtv.ca and we will
delete it.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
(a) Information you provide to us
- Registration information: name and email address, and account credentials.
- Communications: if you email or contact us, the content of those messages.
- Payment information: if you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by
our third-party payment processor, Stripe, and (where you subscribe through
an app store) by Apple or Google. We receive limited transaction data (for
example, that a purchase succeeded and the amount) but do not store full
payment card numbers.
- User-generated content you choose to submit, as described in our Terms of Use.
(b) Information we collect automatically when you use the Service
- Device and log information: IP address, browser/user-agent, device type,
operating system, app version, and event timestamps.
- Usage information: pages/screens viewed, content interactions, time spent,
and the pages visited immediately before and after using the Service.
- Approximate location derived from IP address (coarse; e.g., country/region).
For visitors in the EEA and the UK, we minimize location and identifier data
before an analytics-consent choice is made (for example, we drop the raw IP
address and retain only a coarse country signal).
- Cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies and Your Choices").
(c) Marketing and campaign-attribution information
When you reach the Service through one of our OWN promotional links (for example,
a link we share by email, on social media, or through a short link we own), we
record first-party marketing-attribution information, including:
- the campaign, source, medium, and content parameters carried in the link
(commonly called UTM parameters);
- the page you landed on and the referring website (reduced to a general
address, with personal details removed);
- a first-party "campaign click identifier" that we generate for the link.
We use the campaign click identifier to connect a click on one of our links to
what happens next in your relationship with us — for example, whether you
register, enter a promotion or giveaway, or subscribe — so we can measure how our
own campaigns perform. This identifier is FIRST-PARTY and is passed in the link
address; it is NOT an advertising cookie, it is NOT used to track you across
other companies' websites, and we do NOT collect advertising-network click
identifiers through this feature.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- create and manage your account and process your subscription;
- communicate with you about the Service, including service and transactional
messages and, where permitted, marketing messages you can opt out of;
- measure and understand the effectiveness of our own marketing — including
attributing regions, giveaway entries, and subscriptions to the
campaigns and links that drove them (see "Marketing and campaign-attribution
information");
- run promotions, giveaways, and contests;
- detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other
unlawful activity; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
5. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (EEA / UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Service you request and manage your
account and subscription.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service and to measure the
effectiveness of our own marketing and attribute registrations, giveaway
entries, and subscriptions to the campaigns that drove them. We have assessed
that these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms; you may
object at any time (see "Your Privacy Rights").
- Consent: where required — for example, for certain anatics or cookies. You
may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law.
6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do NOT share it for
cross-context behavioral advertising. Our first-party marketing-attribution data
(described in Section 3(c)) stays with us and is not disclosed to advertising
networks or data brokers.
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers / processors who act on our behalf under contract — for
example, cloud hosting, our payment processor (Stripe; and Apple or Google
for in-app purchases), and email/communications providers.
- Analytics providers. Our marketing-attribution and usage analytics are
first-party and processed on our own systems in Canada; that data is not
handed to third-party analytics or advertising products. In addition, we
send a limited set of conversion events — a completed purchase, a
subscription rel, and a new registration — to Google Analytics for
measurement, subject to your applicable consent choice. This involves a
transfer to Google in the United States under appropriate safeguards (see
"International Data Transfers").
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to
protect the rights, property, or safety of Wild TV, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or
sale of assets, subject to this Notice.
- Promotions and contests: if you enter a sweepstakes or contest that involves
a partner, we will tell you at entry and, where applicable, give you a choice
before sharing information with that partner.
We do not give your personal information to sponsors or marketing partners for
their own independent marketing use unless you opt in.
7. COOKIES AND YOUR CHOICES
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your
preferences, keep you signed in, and meare usage. Some features may not work if
you disable cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law as a
request to opt out of "sale"/"sharing" for the browser sending it. (Note: as
described above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context
behavioral advertising in any event.)
8. DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described
in this Notice, then delete or de-identify it.
- Raw marketing-attribution and touchpoint records (including the campaign
click identifier): up to 24 months, after which we delete the row-level
records and retain only aggregated, non-identifying campaign metrics.
- Account information: for as long as your account is open. After you delete
your account (or after a prolonged period of inactivity), we delete or
de-identify your account information within 30 days, except where we must
keep specific records longer for the legal, security, and record-keeping
purposes described below.
- Financial and transaction records (such as invoices for a completed purchase
or subscription) are retained for the period required by tax and accounting
law — generally up to seven (7) years — and are then deleted or
de-identified.
- We may retain certain information longer where required by law or to resolve
disputes and enforce our agreements.
9. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We use generally accepted administrative, technical, and organizational measures
to protect personal information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission
or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your
account by keeping your password confidential.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
We operate the Service from, and store personal information on, servers located
in Canada. Our marketing-attribution and usage analytics are processed in-house
in Canada. If you access the Service froother country, your information is
transferred to and processed in Canada, which may have different data-protection
laws than your own.
For visitors in the EEA and the UK: Canada benefits from a European Commission
adequacy decision (for commercial organizations subject to PIPEDA) and is
recognized as adequate under UK law, so transfers of your information from the
EEA/UK to our systems in Canada are permitted without additional safeguards.
We aim to minimize processing of your information outside Canada. One limited
transfer does occur through a service provider: the conversion events described
in Section 6 (a completed purchase, a subscription renewal, and a new
registration) are sent to Google Analytics in the United States for measurement,
subject to your applicable consent choice. For such transfers we rely on
appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent
protections).
11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
The rights available to you depend on where you live. To exercise any right,
contact us at wildtvplus@wildtv.ca. We will verify your request and respond
within the time required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against
for exercising your rights.
(a) EEA / UK. You may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction of,
or portability of your personal information; object to processing based on our
legitimate interests (including marketing-attribution measurement); and withdraw
consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with
your local supervisory authority. Because we are established outside the EEA and
the UK, we have appointed representatives under Article 27:
- EU Representative: Dobrin Trifonov, LEO-DT — dobrin@leo-dt.com
- UK Representative: Dobrin Trifonov, LEO-DT — dobrin@leo-dt.com
(b) Canada. Under PIPEDA and applicable provincial law (including Alberta's PIPA),
you may request access to and correction of your personal information and may
withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. You may acontact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
(c) California. Under the CCPA/CPRA, you may request to know, delete, and correct
your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
You may opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — although we do
not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral
advertising. You may use an authorized agent, and we honor GPC signals as an
opt-out where applicable.
(d) Other U.S. states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may
have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted
advertising, sale, or certain profiling; contact us to exercise them.
12. HOW TO ACCESS OR DELETE YOUR DATA
You can access and update your information from your account page, and you can
delete your account and associated data in either of these ways:
- Option 1: While signed in, go to your account page, click Delete Account, and
confirm. Your account and associated data will beeleted.
- Option 2: Email a deletion request to wildtvplus@wildtv.ca from the email
address the account was created under. We will delete the account and
associated data, typically within 3 business days.
We may be unable to fully honor a deletion request where we must retain
information to: detect security incidents or protect against fraudulent or
illegal activity; debug and repair errors; complete a transaction you requested;
comply with a legal obligation; or otherwise use the information internally in a
lawful manner compatible with the context in which you provided it.
13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The Service may link to third-party websites or embed third-party widgets. We are
not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. When you leave
the Service, this Notice no longer applies; please review the privacy notices of
any third-party sites you visit.
14. CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. For significant changes, we
will notify you by email to the address associated with your account, by a
prominent notice on the Service, and/or by updating the "Last updated" date
above. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance
of the revised Notice.
